Steven Michael Edwards 

August 17, 1964 - January 11, 2026 

Steven Michael Edwards, age 61, of Fort Mill, SC, passed away peacefully at home Sunday, January 11, 2026. The family is hosting a viewing from 3 to 5 p.m. on Friday, January 16, 2026, at Wolfe Funeral Home.

Born in Wilkes-Barre, PA, he was the son of the late Thomas Harrison Edwards and Marianne Kane Edwards. While growing up, he enjoyed hunting and fishing in the woods of northeast Pennsylvania. In high school, he loved to play golf and would sometimes skip class to play, hiding his clubs under the porch. As a young adult, Steve passed the time with his brothers as they went to school in different states, wheeling around in his Oldsmobile Cutlass. After graduating from Texas A&M University with a degree in marketing, he then continued his career in the printing industry.

He married Cindy on February 25, 1995, and helped her find love again. Without a second thought, he began to help raise her two children as his own. They gave birth to another in 1996. Steve was a supportive father, taking his children on camping trips to share his enjoyment of the outdoors. He and his brother Tom helped organize yearly trips to the Edwards cabin for the three boys.

He loved gardening, landscaping, being out in nature, having fires in the back yard, and spending time with his family. In the community, he worked 6 years with the Fort Mill High School marching band pit crew. He was always working on projects around the house, turning his yard into a beautiful garden. He took a lot of pride in his work and a local station featured his landscaping. He also enjoyed watching shows on PBS to learn more about nature and history.

Surviving are his loving wife of 30 years, Cindy Linda Edwards; his children, Samuel Hanna, V (Emily Hanna), Christopher Hanna, and Michael Edwards (Samantha Amstutz); siblings, Tom Edwards and Marc Edwards; grandchildren, Samuel Hanna VI and Evelyn Hanna; and nieces and nephews. His sister Lisa Edwards passed before him.
