Martin Alan Hunter 

July 31, 1966 - December 28, 2025 

Martin Alan Hunter, age 59, passed away peacefully on Sunday, December 28, 2025. He was born on July 31, 1966, in Dallas, Texas, to his parents, Martin B. Hunter and Jeanette Jakubik Hunter.

Martin graduated as salutatorian from St. John Catholic School in Ennis, Texas, in 1984. He went on to attend Texas A&M University, where he earned a Bachelor’s degree in Fisheries and Wildlife Science in 1991. Continuing his education, Martin later attended Navarro College and graduated in 1999 with an Associate of Applied Science degree in Medical Laboratory Technology.

On June 27, 1997, Martin married the love of his life, Onely Guajardo, of Ennis, Texas. He was a devoted husband, son, brother, father, grandfather, and a member of St. John Catholic Church.

He is survived by his wife, Onely Hunter, with whom he shared 41 years together and 27 years of marriage; his mother, Jeanette Jakubik Hunter of Ennis; three children and their spouses: Ashton Hunter and Brittany Murray of Ennis, Allysia and Lucien Fluty of Fort Worth, and Emily Hunter of Ennis; two cherished grandchildren, Channing and Lainey; three brothers and their spouses, Mark and Elizabeth Hunter of Waxahachie, Darryl and Leigh Hunter of McKinney, and David Hunter and Amy Rhodes of Palmer; along with many beloved nieces and nephews.

Martin was preceded in death by his father, Martin B. Hunter, and his mother-in-law, Carmen Guajardo.
