August 20, 1935 - December 13, 2025 

Dr. Glenn R. Wade, 90, of Jackson, Missouri died Saturday, December 13, 2025 at Hubble Creek Nursing Home in Jackson. He was born August 20, 1935 in Spring City, Pennsylvania to George and Helen Troutman Wade.

He served in the United States Navy. He earned his Bachelors and Masters degrees from Penn State and his Doctorate from Texas A&M University. Dr. Glenn Wade proudly served as a faculty member in the Department of Health Human Performance and Recreation at Southeast Missouri State University, until retiring in 1995.

His passion was collecting and listening to 45 records. He amassed a record collection of 120,000 records, which he listened to on his vintage juke box.

Survivors include his sisters-in-law, Judy Wade of Lehighton, Pennsylvania and Esther Wade of Springfield, Virginia; five nieces, Anna Maria Etamadi of Manassas, Virginia, Laura O'Neal of Greenville, Maine, Kimberly Duncan of Lorton, Virginia, Jennifer Wade of Kingston, Pennsylvania, Elizabeth Wade-Ellis of Export, Pennsylvania; and his longtime friend, colleague and caretaker, Edward Leoni of Jackson.

He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers, Charles and George Wade.

A private burial will take place at Oak Grove Cemetery in Parker Ford, Pennsylvania.
