Mark Randal Montag 

August 7, 1951 - November 19, 2025 

Mark Randal Montag, of Houston, Texas passed away on November 19, 2025 in his home. Mark was born in San Antonio, Texas to Marjorie and Miller Montag on August 7th, 1951.

After graduating from Churchill High School in San Antonio in 1969 where he played trumpet in the Chargers marching band, he attended Texas A&M University, graduating in 1973. Mark was a proud Aggie, serving in the Fightin' Texas Aggie Band.

He worked as a major commercial construction project superintendent in the San Antonio, Fort Worth, Temple, and Houston areas. Mark achieved one of his life-long dreams and became a long haul truck driver for petroleum products for a number of years – driving petroleum trucks across the US and into Canada.

Mark loved cars and collected a few of his favorites later in his life – Corvettes and Mini Coopers. He also enjoyed long road trips on his Harley and his Goldwing.

Mark Montag was preceded in death by his parents Miller Montag and Marjorie Montag and is survived by his brother Jeff Montag and wife Kim of McAllister, Montana and his brother Bruce Montag and wife Debra of Austin, Texas.
