Wesley Evan Barfield

Wesley Evan Barfield, age 27, was born August 15, 1998, to Jim and Lisa Barfield. Wesley loved our Father and Lord in Heaven and went to be an Angel on November 25, 2025.

Wesley’s home was Cypress, Texas, where he attended Cy-Creek & Cy-Ranch High School, and also Lone Star college for dual credit courses toward his high school graduation.

Growing up, Wesley loved to ride scooters, bike ride, skateboard, and he also had a BMX bike, he liked popping wheelies, jumping off ramps, and exploring trails in the woods. Wesley played little league baseball, rode his motorbike, and played in the orchestra. He also enjoyed visiting many museums, zoos, going to the movie theater, watching movies at home, and all restaurants or meals with his favorite pizza!

Wesley loved his Big Brown Dog, a Chesapeake Bay Retriever, Willie “Nelson”, who wanted to be a lap dog, Willie was often keeping Wesley company in his bedroom while video gaming with friends or sleeping in Wesley’s bed. Wesley had loved Willie through his life of 14 years from coming to be with the family as a puppy. Willie has surely greeted Wesley in heaven. Wesley also helped care for the family cat Heidi with great love, often bathing her, and the newest family pet was growing on him, a Cavalier, Lizzie.

Wesley was a very talented snowboarder and took on the difficult black slopes with ease. Wesley had several seasons passes and enjoyed spending as much time as possible in Colorado. Wesley’s favorite was the Snowmass slopes, along with visiting the charming town of Aspen, Vail, Steamboat, Winter Park, Keystone, Loveland, and any slope he could get to. Wesley loved to go to Colorado as often as he could to snowboard, spending long hours on the slopes, and night skiing too. Mom and Wesley recently got to spend an extended time in Winter Park which was so loved by Wesley.

Wesley enjoyed family time together traveling, his Granny and Gramps of Cypress, TX had taken many vacations with Wesley and his brother while growing up, Disneyworld, the mountains of Montana, and more. Wesley traveled with his mom and brother, to Hawaii which he loved, and recently Sonoma Arizona, where he had a great time. Wesley also spent time in Scotland, and England, he got to see lots of castles and even got to skateboard and bike ride in the small town of Stonehaven on an extended visit. Wesley encouraged his mom to book a trip to Italy, which Mom, John and Darren shared with him where Wesley enjoyed Rome where he got to see the Colosseum, Vatican and Trevi Fountain and beautiful piazzas, attend an opera, and visit Florence’s many museums and wonderful restaurants (always searching out some Pizza), also stopping at Pisa, the leaning tower of course, and Venice, enjoying St. Peter’s square and riding in a Gondola, also driving with the family from Rome to Venice.

Wesley loved spending time with his grandparents, both at Granny and Gramp’s Lakehouse, and Creekwood Ranch in East Texas, spending weekends and other extended times away, boating, and fishing at the Lakehouse with his family, and riding his motor bike on the ranch, hunting deer and hogs. Wesley also enjoyed helping with cattle and ranch work on the ranch, he drove a tractor and ATV, he was a young and able rancher.

Wesley was smart and articulate, talented and able, and was off to a great start of success in the business world. Wesley had helped his mom and Darren with their small businesses, gaining business experience. Wesley had finished his associate’s degree at Lone Star Community College, near home, and went on to study at both Texas State, and then Texas A & M University in College Station where he was a Senior majoring in Agricultural- Leadership (Management) / Economics.
