January 27, 1950 - November 29, 2025
Dale Bohannon 75 passed away unexpectedly November 29, 2025 at his home in Bryan, Texas. He was born January 27, 1950 in Houston, Texas, the son of Colman Saunders (Pete) and Marjorie Bohannon.
Dale graduated from Channelview High School, Class of 1968 where he received many accolades in sports. Following graduation, he attended Kilgore College where he played quarterback for the Kilgore Rangers. Later, he attended Sam Houston State University where he also served as quarterback for the Sam Houston Bearkats.
Dale's lifetime ambition was to attend Texas A&M University where he graduated in 1972 with a Bachelor of Science Degree.
Dale started his teaching and coaching career in his hometown of Channelview. He later taught and coached at Deweyville, Dayton and other places in the Houston area.
Dale received his Master of Education from Stephen F. Austin State University in August 1979. With this degree, he became a school administrator ending his career as Superintendent of Schools in several districts.
In addition to his parents, Dale was predeceased by two sisters. He is survived by his wife Teresa and his daughter Amber with granddaughters Briana, Monica, and Aubrey; daughter Chelsey, husband Neal, with grandchildren Brooks, Beau, and Laikyn; son Cole, wife Kali, with granddaughters Blaikely and Brilyn; brother Tommy Bohannon and wife Penny of Trinity, and sister Gay Bohannon of DeSoto, Texas. He is also survived by two step daughters Sonya Hall (husband Nick), MacKenzie Smith (husband Joey), and grandchildren Dalton, Lane, Dillon, Ryleigh, and Allie, with several nieces and nephews that were also special to him.
A service of remembrance will be held at First Baptist Church Calvert on December 3rd, 2025, 506 Elm Street, Calvert, Texas. Interment will be at the College Station Aggie Field of Honor 3800 Raymond Stotzer Pkwy, College Station, Texas.
