Alton Nathaniel "Al" Peck
June 20, 1934 - December 26, 2025
Alton Nathaniel Peck, of Kerrville, passed away on December 26, 2025, in Kerrville, Texas. He was born June 20, 1934 in Sweetwater, Texas, to Elam Alpha Peck and Pearl Velma (Jordan) Peck.
Alton’s parents worked in many towns in Texas, but eventually settled in Eagle Pass. Alton graduated from Eagle Pass High School and was accepted at Texas A&M College of Engineering. He graduated in 1955 with a degree in Civil Engineering, a proud member of the Texas A&M Corps of Cadets.
It was in College Station that Alton met the love of his life, Margaret Ann Black Thompson. They married and moved to San Antonio where he worked for Austin Bridge Company as a civil engineer. He was transferred to Dallas in 1967. In the early 1990s they retired and moved to the Texas Hill Country.
Marge passed in 2001 and in 2016 Alton moved to Kerrville, Texas. February 1, 2025, due to a decline in his health, Alton moved to a nursing home where he passed December 26, 2025.
Alton was preceded in death by his wife, his father and mother, and his sister Josephine Brown Hallett. He is survived by his three children, Dan Alton Peck (Yukon OK) and wife Trisha, Sheryl Peck Cardwell (Kerrville TX) and husband David, and Paul Anthony Peck (Haslet TX) and wife Jamie, grandchildren Patti Kitchel, Chase and Travis Lenz, Ian and Emily Peck, and numerous great grandchildren and numerous cousins.
Celebration of Life will be at 11 a.m. Friday April 10, 2026 at Kerrville Funeral Home, Kerrville, Texas, with burial Friday afternoon at Lakeland Memorial Park north of Marble Falls. Alton and Marge loved the bluebonnets of the Hill Country – the timing of the celebration is during the peak of bluebonnet season.
