Shih Hsuan Feng

November 13, 1952 - November 13, 2025

Shih Hsuan Feng, 73, passed away at Baylor Scott and White Hospital of Irving on Thursday, November 13th, 2025.

He was born on November 13th, 1952 in Taipei, Taiwan. He moved, with his family, to Brazil in 1959. Shih moved to the United States to attend Texas A&M University. He specialized in nuclear theory and graduated with a bachelor's degree in Nuclear Engineering in 1976. He owned and operated several restaurants. This enabled him to welcome the rest of his family to the United States. Most recently he worked at Luxottica Eyewear, before retiring in 2018.

Shih was an avid reader. He enjoyed reading for knowledge and revisiting everything from science to trigonometry to Spanish. He had an affinity for science fiction and it naturally drew him to Star Trek. He enjoyed daily walks to keep fit and valued connection through food. In recent years, he was introduced to beekeeping by Tiffany and enjoyed participating in their care.

He is survived by his daughter Tiffany Feng and her husband, Joseph Brown. Former spouse and Tiffany's mother Theresalee "Terry" Hillhouse. He is survived by his loving family and friends that miss him, his knowledge, humor, and valued wisdom, dearly.
