Hans Paul Schultz, Jr. 

October 23, 1931 - December 13, 2025 

Hans Paul Schultz, Jr. was born on October 23, 1931, in New Baden, Texas, to parents, Hans Paul Schultz, Sr. and Mattie Thompson Schultz. He passed away peacefully on Saturday, December 13, 2025, at the age of 94 years.

Paul was a graduate of Franklin High School. He married his beloved wife, Ruth Wasserman, on June 7, 1957, in Rosebud, Texas. Paul was a self-employed rancher and operated the New Baden General Store in New Baden for many years. He was a life-long resident of New Baden and was a member of the Franklin Methodist Church.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Hans Paul Schultz, Sr. and Mattie Schultz; wife, Ruth Schultz; daughter, Sara Schultz and sister, Virginia Akins.

He leaves behind to cherish his memory, Children: Susan and Bud Nelson, Scott Anderson, Charles and Mary Schultz, Steve and Ashley Schultz all of New Baden and Joe and Julie Schultz of College Station. He is also survived by his grandchildren: Kyle Schultz, Kevin Schultz, Ashley Schultz, Allie Schultz, Derek Schultz, Kenzie Eilers, Maddie Nelson, Abbie Davis and Kriston Schultz and 8 Great grandchildren.

Services will be held on Thursday, December 18, 2025, at 10:00 A.M. at the Franklin Methodist Church. A burial will follow in the New Baden Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, December 17, 2025, from 5:00-7:00 P.M. at McCauley Funeral Home in Franklin.
