Kenneth Eugene Taylor
October 2, 1946 - June 12, 2025
Kenneth Eugene Taylor was born in Dallas, Texas on October 2, 1946, to Meredith Sr & Klara Taylor. He passed away on June 12, 2025, in Fort Worth, Texas. He attended Woodrow Wilson High School in Dallas and graduated in 1964. He also attended Texas A&M University.
He married Charlotte Leigh Goodloe on March 22, 1968, in Dallas, Texas. Kenneth enlisted in the U.S. Army in 1968 and was a Tank driver and then a Chaplain’s assistant. During his service, he received the National Defense Services Medal, Sharpshooter Badge for both pistol and rifle, Good Conduct Medal, and Marksmanship Badge for pistol. He was stationed in Germany and Fort Knox, Kentucky. Once he left the Army, he worked for an electrical supply company as an Estimator until he retired.
Kenneth & Charlotte had four children: Eric Eugene, Christine Denise, Daniel Anthony, and Robert Andrew. Kenneth was a Boy Scout Scoutmaster for Troop 11 and a member of Order of the Arrow. He loved singing in the church choir, chaperoning Boy Scout camp outs, fishing, gardening, writing poetry for his kids and grandkids, playing chess, and entertaining everyone with funny stories. He spent the last few years caring for his wife, Charlotte until her passing in September 2024.
Kenneth was preceded in death by his wife, Charlotte, his parents Meredith Sr and Klara Taylor and his grandson William Nicholas. Kenneth is survived by his brother Meredith Jr and wife Johnette; his children: son Eric and wife Marissa along with their children Travis and fiancé Vanessa Torres and their daughter Hazel, expected in September 2025 and daughter Emma; his daughter Denise Snow along with her children Matthew Taylor and wife Veronica and their son Santino “Sonny”, and son Jacob Snow; his son Daniel and wife Linda and their daughter Katie; and son Robert and wife Norma and their children Jasmin and Madeyln.
A visitation will be held at 9:30 AM on Friday, June 27, 2025, followed by a graveside service at DFW National Cemetery at 10:30 AM.
