Roll Call Tribute

Anthony "Tony" Tommasi '98 January 9, 2026 4:14 PM updated: January 9, 2026 4:19 PM

Anthony "Tony" Tommasi

December 11, 1975 - October 6, 2025

Anthony “Tony” Tommasi was born in Nashville, Tennessee, on December 11, 1975. His family later moved to Bedford, Texas, where he spent his childhood and formative years.

From a young age, Tony found his passion in the water. By the time he was eight years old, his talent for swimming was clear. In high school, he set records in the 50- and 100-yard freestyle events and became a standout athlete at both the regional and national level.

After graduating from high school in 1994, Tony accepted a full athletic scholarship to Texas A&M University, where he competed successfully before returning home to support his family. He later completed his Bachelor of Science in Business at Arizona State University, graduating Magna Cum Laude in 2000. He went on to build a successful career in Internet Marketing in Hermosa Beach, California.

Tony’s greatest joy in life was his family. He was a devoted follower of Christ, never forgetting to pray and give thanks throughout his life. He is survived by his wife, Heather, and their three children: Gabriella, Maximillian, and Angelica; his mother, Beverly Tommasi; his brother, Curt Edwards; and his sisters, Melissa Pope and Bunnie Edwards-Gonzales.

Tony will be remembered for his perseverance, warmth, wit, humor, strength, kindness, and unwavering spirit. His legacy lives on through the many lives he touched.

We invite you to consider making a gift in Tony’s memory to support brain tumor research under the direction of Dr. Keith L. Black at Cedars-Sinai.
