Jack Merrill "Jay" Fryer
February 12, 1963 - December 12, 2025
On December 12, 2025, the life of party, the one who made even the most somber
laugh and feel joy, left this world to be with Jesus. He was 62. Jay leaves behind his
son, Mason Fryer of Huntington Beach, CA, his sisters, Becky Weaver of New
Braunfels, Texas, Beverly Jarzombek of Helotes, Texas, and Bunny Campbell of Buena
Vista, CO., his parents, Jack and Nancy Fryer, predeceased.
A native of Mission, Texas, Jay continued his education at Texas A&M University where
he became an aerospace engineer, and was commissioned into the US Air Force after
which his skills and contacts led to his becoming the founder and president of Micro
Cooling Concepts in Huntington Beach, CA, a position he held until his death.
Generous with his time, money, and abilities, Jay left marks of goodwill on his family,
friends, and colleagues. No matter how big or small, he diligently sought solutions for
their wants and needs until all were met.
He loved animals. Jay sacrificed his time and money for his rescued, and often
medically compromised, dogs that he loved and likened to his children. He spared no
expense in creating safe, loving homes, giving them their best lives during the time they
had left.
He loved fishing at South Padre Island, Texas, shopping for the newest high-tech
gadget, and spending time in the dessert with his son and friends and their dirt bikes.
Jay wasn’t fancy; he preferred the simple things, making him easily approachable and
unpretentious. His laughs, good times, and thoughtful nature followed wherever he went.
His Texas sized heart guided his path both personally and professionally, producing a
man that many others aspire to match.
