Charles Davis Wilson 

August 31, 1942 - September 17, 2025 

Charles Davis Wilson, 83, passed away peacefully on September 17, 2025, surrounded by his immediate family.

Born on August 31, 1942, in Memphis, TN, Davis spent his younger years in various cities in TN and MS until moving to Pasadena, TX, at the age of 12, where he graduated from Deer Park High School, class of 1960. He then attended Texas A&M University for a time before entering the United States Marine Corps in 1961. He served as a private in the 2nd Battalion, 5th Marines, 104th and 1st divisions S2/FMS (Intelligence Fleet Marine Force Recon and Aerial Surveillance), and then overseas in the 1st Battalion, 3rd Marines, spending several months in Vietnam scouting the jungles and then drawing the maps that were used in later years during the Vietnam War.

Upon returning in 1962, he married his first wife and began his life in Houston, where he obtained a degree in Construction Technology at the University of Houston, and had two children, Wendi and Timothy. After obtaining his architectural license, he opened his own firm in 1973. In 1979, he married the love of his life, Diane, with whom he opened several architectural, construction, and design firms during the 50 years of working not only in Houston, but all over the country.

Davis was a proud Texan, Marine, husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather. He was a pillar of the community, often offering his services pro bono for many well-deserving non-profit organizations.

He is survived by his wife, Diane Zetty Wilson, his daughter, Wendi Wilson Lichwiarz, and his son, Timothy Davis Wilson. Davis Wilson also leaves behind his grandchildren: Holly, Sean, Cole, Krista, Elizabeth, Ethan, and Kacy, and his great-grandchildren: Jordan, Emi, Sayde, Alyssa, Logan, Robert, Judith, Benjamin, Samuel, and Theodore.

A Celebration of Life will be held at Forest Park Westheimer Funeral Home, located at 12800 Westheimer Road, Houston, TX 77077, on September 24, 2025, from 5:00 pm to 6:00 pm. The family asks that attending guests dress in "island attire", no black, as Davis wants us to celebrate in his style.
