William "Bill" Coyle III '69 January 6, 2026 1:23 PM updated: January 6, 2026 1:34 PM

William H. Coyle

November 9, 1946 - August 1, 2025

William H. Coyle, age 78, native of Houston, and formerly from Pasadena, Sagemont, Galveston, and Friendswood, Texas, passed away peacefully on August 1, 2025 in his sleep. Bill was born on November 9, 1946, in Houston, Texas to William H. Coyle Jr. and Betty Lou Coyle. He attended High School in Pasadena and graduated from Texas A&M University in 1969.

Bill is preceded in death by his youngest son, Zachary, his wife Cheryl, and his parents. Bill is survived by his children Billy Coyle and wife Suzi, Kris Martin and husband Philip, Sott Coyle, Brian Coyle and wife Courtney, Jason Coyle and wife Sonya, and David Coyle; grandchildren Ashley, Hunter, Colby, Kaylee, Breeanne, Tyler, Justin, Shelby, Scottie, Nathaniel, Alex, Jacob, Camryn, Cole, Ava, Garrett, Wyatt, Rowan, Logan, Kali, and many great grandchildren.

Bill's life was grounded in one of his most cherished bible verses, Psalm 33:20: We put our hope in the Lord. He is our help and our shield. He was a dedicated father and was lovingly known to his grandchildren as "Grandpa Billy" or "GPaw." More than anything, he enjoyed spending time with his family. Being a father of seven children, he was a patient and strong man whom his children admired greatly. Being a father was his greatest joy in life.

A visitation will be held on August 8, 2025 from 12:30 - 2:00 p.m. at South Park Funeral Home in Pearland, Texas. The funeral service will follow immediately after visitation the same day at 2:00pm at the same location.
