Truett Weldon Bates
July 18, 1943 - December 27, 2025
Truett Weldon Bates, age 82 of Pearl, Texas, passed away on December 27, 2025.
Graveside services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday, December 30, 2025 at the Bates family cemetery.
Truett was born in Gatesville, Texas on July 18, 1943, to the late Morris and Lona Bates. He graduated from Texas A&M University and worked in various professions. Truett was a dedicated member of The Presbyterian Church of Gatesville and sang bass in the choir for many years.
Truett was preceded in death by his parents; a grandchild; and a great-grandchild.
He is survived by his wife Marilyn of fifty years; three stepchildren; six grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
