Blake William Gaddy

December 21, 1988 - December 7, 2025

Blake William Gaddy passed away on December 7, 2025 in Dallas, Texas. Born on December 21, 1988 in Plano, Texas, Blake lived a full and meaningful life with his close knit family, many lifelong friends, and his cats Phil and Mike, and Aussie Lily. In 2002, after years of diligent study, Blake proudly became a Bar Mitzvah. Blake graduated from Plano Senior High School in 2007. Throughout his school years, he played basketball on school teams and rec leagues. He loved the sport so much, his family nicknamed him Basketball Blake.

He attended Texas A&M University, where he received his BBA in Finance in 2011. While completing his undergraduate studies, he developed an interest in commercial real estate, which led to him earning a Master of Real Estate degree in 2013. A true Twelfth Man, Blake was an avid supporter of the Texas Aggies. He loved everything about Texas A&M sports, basketball, baseball and especially football.

After graduation, he began his successful career with Henry S. Miller, eventually becoming Vice President of Appraisal and Consulting. Colleagues have expressed how much they admired his work ethic, for which he received numerous awards, and also his positive attitude. He truly loved his job and those he worked with. Likewise, Blake was loved by his friends, many of whom he had known since elementary school. As one friend said, “What a spirit he had to just light up a room and lift people up with his humor.” In his free time, he enjoyed hiking and indoor rock climbing. Blake had an especially close bond with his older brother, Brett. They shared a love of music, concerts, movies, podcasts, books, and varied topics of interests that stirred deep conversations whenever they were together. They were truly best friends. Blake was the very heart of his parents, who were gratefully blessed with the steadfast love of a precious son.

Blake will be forever loved by his parents William ”Bill“ David Gaddy and Randi Lyn Gaddy, brother Brett David Gaddy, grandmother Phyllis Schwartz, aunts and uncles Jodi and Tom Crawford, Gene and Yaani Mai Gaddy, Sheila Phillips, cousins Rachael Crawford, Brandon Crawford, Ansel Gaddy, and Austin Gaddy. He is preceded in death by his grandfather Archie “Gene“ Eugene Gaddy, Sr.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Blake’s memory to TexasCARES (Cat Adoption and Rescue) or Dallas Animal Services.
