Donald Scott "Don" Cameron 

March 8, 1942 - October 3, 2025 

Donald Scott "Don" Cameron, 83, of Deming, NM passed away peacefully on Friday, October 3, 2025.

Don was born March 8, 1942 in New York City, NY to Donald Cameron and Dorothy Parr. A long-term resident of Deming, NM, Don started his professional career with El Paso Natural Gas after earning a chemical engineering degree from Texas A&M University. His real passion was being a math teacher with the Deming Public Schools. He is widely known for owning and operating Deming Cycle Center for over 20 years. Don lived, loved, and rode motorcycles throughout his life.

He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Mary Lou Cameron; his sons, Donald Aaron (Christi) & Rex (Wendi) and his grandsons Donald, Christian, and Andrew. He was preceded in death by his parents Donald and Dorothy Cameron and a brother, Neal Cameron.

A memorial service is to be held on Monday, October 13, 2025 at 2:00 pm at the First United Methodist Church in Deming, NM, followed by a celebration of life at La Fonda Restaurant. Cremation has been entrusted to Baca's Mimbres Crematory.
