Grace Hannah Zwernemann
October 17, 1997 - December 16, 2025
Grace Hannah Zwernemann, 28, of College Station, Texas, passed away on Tuesday, December 16, 2025. She was born on October 17, 1997, at Trinity Medical Center in Brenham, Texas. After graduating from Giddings High School in 2016, Grace began her studies at Texas A&M university as a proud member of the future Aggie class of 2020. She graduated early with a bachelor’s degree in allied health in December of 2019. After graduation, she began working as an EMT for St. Joseph’s. Grace graduated from Paramedic School in August of 2022 and continued working as a paramedic until her passing. Grace was with St. Joseph’s for five years and proudly served others bringing empathy and professionalism to the job every day. In her journey as an EMT and then a Paramedic, Grace had opportunities to share her faith and pray with many of her patients. Her faith was the most important part of her life, and she strived to serve her Lord and others to the best of her ability. Grace continued to focus on knowing the Lord and helping others to know Him in her final days.
Grace truly had a heart for serving others. While in High School, she trained and was certified as a lifeguard for the City of Giddings. While attending Texas A&M, she felt the call to continue serving, so she enrolled in EMT training at TEEX while still attending classes in college. Her passion for serving others never ended as she was making plans to move to South Carolina to attend nursing school. Grace’s passion and willingness to serve others will surely be missed by many.
Grace’s other passions in life included her family, participating in sports, hunting, fishing, her pets, Aggie Football, her Jeep, and Harley Davidson motorcycles. While in high school, she excelled in volleyball, basketball, and towards the end of high school, soccer. From an early age, she learned to fish and hunt, and Grace also loved the annual camping trips at Granny’s. She was truly at home in all things outdoors. She loved all her pets, especially Remmington and Ruger. She treasured her Jeep Wrangler vowing to never get rid of it. After her first ride on the back of her Grampy’s Harley, her dream to one day own her own Harley came true. Her love of Harleys was something she shared with her Grampy and her dad. Grace enjoyed special moments with her mom in Eastport, Maine, and had ongoing fierce video game battles with her brother and sister on many occasions. She had a tremendous love for all her family, which included her Grandpa and Grandma Zwernemann, Grampy Jollotta, Grampy and Grammy Swan, her aunts and uncles, her cousins, her niece and nephews, and then there was that special love and bond she shared with her brother Cody and her sister Laura. Grace truly cherished all her family.
Grace was preceded in death by her Grampy Swan and Grandpa Zwernemann. She is survived by her father Michael Zwernemann and his wife Karen, her mother Michelle McCowan and her husband Shawn, her brother Cody Zwernemann and his wife Kimberly, her sister Laura Miller and her husband Joshua, her niece Collins and her nephews Lawson and Elias, her Grandma Zwernemann, her Grammy Swan, her Grampy Jollotta, her aunts, uncles, and her cousins.
