Gerald McLemore Nelson, of Bryan, Texas (Class of '62) was a proud Texas Aggie, a member of the Fighting Texas Aggie Corps of Cadets, and served four years in the U.S. Navy.  He had a long career as a federal architect, designing post offices and much of the Naval Submarine Base in Kings Bay, GA.

Gerald is survived by his wife of 63 years, Selby Nelson and children Noelle Simasek (Mike), Martha Chandler (Brett), Courtney Marks (Daniel), and Ryan Nelson (Jessie). He leaves behind eight grandchildren: Christopher Simasek; Kate (Class of '25, '26) and Jack Chandler; Conley, Olivia, and Aiden Marks; and Lila and Remington Nelson.
