Thomas Earl Hefner, of Friona, Texas passed away on October 27, 2025.

Tom was born July 23, 1936, to Emma, Ellen Waller and Clarence Wycliffe Hefner. He married Jacqueline Lee Fisk in 1958. Together, they had many great adventures, not the least of which were their children, Laura Lee 1960, Charles Russell 1962, Thomas Wesley 1963, Robert Lee 1966, Jean Ellen 1968 and in 1974 they added Asusena Franco Santiesteban (Susi) as their sixth and final child.
Tom was a great adventurer. He loved his family. He had a heart for Jesus and many of his adventures centered on bringing Christ to everyone he encountered. In many ways he was ahead of his time, always searching for better ways to manage grass and cattle.
He graduated from Texas A&M in 1958 And began what would become a long career in farming and cattle. As a contract farmer he grew many varied crops ranging from melons to onions, all over south and west Texas. His heart was with cattle and after a 4-year sojourn to South America in which he cleared land to create farms, he mostly concentrated on cattle.
His legacy, as he intended, is his children; six kids with six stable marriages, a couple dozen grandchildren, and more great grands than he could name. May we all leave such a legacy.
