Ballinger Bryan "Skip" Moore, Jr.
April 2, 1944 - October 12, 2025
On Sunday, October 12, 2025, Ballinger Bryan Moore Jr. aka "Skip" left this earth to be with our heavenly Father. Skip was born in Austin, TX, as the oldest of he and his Aggie brother, Larry, whom he shared an inseparable bond to. Skip married only once to his childhood sweetheart and had two daughters, Shannon and Victoria. Skip proudly served as a sergeant in the US Air Force and was awarded several medals including the Vietnam service medal with one oak leaf cluster. He remained in Austin, TX til 1988 with a career in technology leading him into Aerospace Technology with Lockheed Martin. Skip ended his career retiring from Barrios Technology in Clear Lake, TX affiliated with NASA. Skip later moved to Bryan, TX with his partner Nancy.
Skip's life loves were his family, his astounding core devotion to Texas A&M, native Texas plants, fellow Veterans, and of course a Lone Star beer, any light beer was called water to him. He was known to strike up a conversation with anyone who had a Veterans cap on. Loved to travel with family, however, always griped about going anywhere past Dallas as that was Oklahoma territory to him, and then you're heading into Yankee territory. You rarely saw him sitting still, boots on most of the time, a suit and tie was for a funeral and naps were never in the equation. He was loved by all who crossed his path and he will be exceptionally missed.
Skip is preceded in death by his mother Ivis M. Moore of Austin, Tx, his father (Ret) Lt. Col. Ballinger "BB" Moore and his wife Mary of Irving, TX. He is survived by his brother Larry Moore, wife Linda, of San Antonio, TX. The mother of his children Barbara Rossmann, husband Jim, of San Antonio. His daughters: Shannon Lawhorn, husband Stephen, of Slocum, TX, and Victoria Sloan of San Antonio. His four grandchildren Jocelyn, Breanna & husband Jake, Paige and Cameron. His two cousins Sara and Kathy Rider of Austin, TX along with many other family members who will miss him greatly including his partner and love Nancy Fox Weeditz of Bryan, TX and her family.
