Norman Haskell Stutte 

December 19, 1937 - October 20, 2025 

Norman H. Stutte was born in Uvalde, Texas December 19, 1937 to Vernon and Saburnia Stutte. He graduated from Uvalde High School in 1956 and excelled in sports and academics.

He attended Texas A&M University and graduated with a Bachelor of Science in 1960. He married his childhood sweetheart Geraldine Caddel Stutte in 1958. He is survived by one daughter, Jan Wright and husband Patrick Wright of San Antonio, grandsons Dr. Adam Wright, and wife Joy of Plano Texas, Garrett Wright of Rio Medina, and Hunter Wright of Keller, Texas. He is survived by 4 great-grandchildren Avery, Addison, James and June Wright of Plano Texas, and one sister Pamela Gray of San Antonio, and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, and his brother Billy Ray Stutte and sister Susan Stutte and grandson Connor Wright.

Norman's career in law enforcement spanned nearly 50 years either serving or teaching. He was a Special Agent for the FBI, specializing in SWAT and firearms. He retired and taught at the Junior College Police Academy in Uvalde for 10 years. He retired again and worked for the Uvalde County Sheriffs office and retired finally at age 80. He enjoyed spending time with his family. He was active in his church. He and his wife spent 10 years active in youth ministry. He spent his life serving others.

Pallbearers are Patrick Wright of San Antonio, Dr. Adam Wright of Plano, Garrett Wright of Rio Medina, Hunter Wright of Keller, R.T. Oegerle of San Antonio and Patrick Oegerle of San Antonio.

A graveside service will be held on Saturday, October 25, 2025 at 11 a.m. at Concan Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, please send all contributions to the El Progresso Library in Uvalde, where Mr. Stutte was a regular patron, or the charity of your choice.
