Donny Lee Farrow
December 15, 1954 - April 1, 2025
Donny Lee Farrow was born on December 15, 1954 in Gilmer, Texas and was sent to his eternal home on April 1, 2025 after an extended illness. He was the beloved son of his late parents Orvil Don Farrow and Glynda Farrow Schulze.
He is survived by his loving children Leann Duncan (Luke) and Russell Farrow (Kaylan) and five grandchildren, Ian Duncan, Riley Duncan, Samuel Duncan, Levi Duncan, and Houston Farrow. His children and grandchildren were the pride and joy of his life.
After his graduation from Palacios High School, Donny followed the path of his Pappy who was a member of the fighting Texas A&M University Aggie Class of ’37 and he became a member of the fighting Texas A&M University Aggie Class of ’79. He loved being an Aggie and took great pride in that family tradition.
Donny loved learning new things and reading history books. He loved a good family camping trip to Lake Texanna and fishing for catfish in the Aransas River. Many great family memories were made on weekends and holidays. He loved serving as a 4-H Leader, achieving the San Patricio County 4-H Leader of the Year Award. He spent many years assisting youth exhibitors with their livestock and poultry projects. He was always willing to teach and help new 4-H and FFA families with their projects. He enjoyed traveling to numerous livestock shows with his family and friends. His favorite saying when leaving a livestock show was always “We will see you down the road”.
His passing has left a void in the hearts of his family, friends and many more who lives were touched by him. We ask that you remember him for the profound impact he had on the lives of those who had the pleasure of knowing and learning from him. He never met a stranger and loved to share stories about his family with everyone.
Graveside services will be held at 2:00 pm on Saturday, April 12, 2025 at the Hawley Cemetery in Blessing, Texas.
