Stephanie (Siewert) Jenkins
September 5, 1971 - July 13, 2025
Stephanie Jenkins, 53, of Garland, Texas passed away peacefully surrounded by her loved ones on July 13, 2025. She is survived by her loving husband, Todd; her two sons, Sam and Jack, her parents, Egon and Lisa Siewert, her brother, Thomas Siewert, wife, Shelly, and numerous nieces and nephews. Stephanie also leaves behind a family of close friends.
It was in September of 1971 when Stephanie Jenkins was born in Chicago, Illinois. She brought so much joy to her adoring parents. Stephanie was a first generation American and German was her first language. She attended German school in Chicago where she thrived and learned quickly. In the summer of 1984, Stephanie’s family moved to Fort Worth, Texas where she graduated as a top student in her class from Southwest High School. Stephanie was a phenomenal student and loved learning.
In 1989, Stephanie attended Texas A&M University and became a Fightin’ Texas Aggie Class of ’93. She continued her love of learning and wanted to pass on that passion to others so she studied Elementary Education. She enjoyed two-steppin on the weekends, attending Aggie Football games, participating in Aggie Lutherans and enjoyed her job as an Aggie bus driver. But most of all, she loved spending time with her friends and family.
After graduation, Stephanie moved to Garland where she was an Elementary School Teacher for 32 years in Garland ISD. She was an outstanding educator and was recognized as an exemplary teacher several times. She was a mentor teacher who always showed compassion and understanding towards her colleagues and students. Stephanie took great pride in always doing her best, going above and beyond, and she expected nothing less from others. Her classroom was a place of warmth, encouragement, and inspiration, where every child felt seen and valued. Her passion for education touched countless lives and left a lasting legacy.
In the 1990’s, Stephanie continued to enjoy her love of country western dancing for she met the love of her life two-steppin on the dance floor. Stephanie and Todd began a beautiful life together that lasted 27 years. Stephanie was a woman of faith and led her life accordingly. She read her Bible daily and you could always find Stephanie journaling her thoughts and prayers. She was selfless. She was the first to volunteer to be there for someone else. If you were friends with Stephanie, you had a friend for life.
As much as Stephanie loved the children in her classroom, her greatest pride and joy were her sons, Sam and Jack. You could find Stephanie on the golf course following and cheering on Sam. You could also find her shooting hoops with Jack in the backyard. She loved watching Jack excel on the basketball court. She was the perfect golf and basketball Mom. Another favorite of Stephanie’s was cooking with her family. Family meal time was so important to Stephanie.
Throughout Stephanie’s life, she remained steadfast in her faith. Her unwavering belief in God guided her through life’s joys and challenges with grace and strength. Her love for others was a testament of God’s love for her. She will be forever remembered for her kindness, selflessness, and radiant spirit. Stephanie’s life was a beautiful example of compassion, dedication and she will be missed by so many.
So it’s no surprise that Stephanie was born on a Sunday, and God called her home on a Sunday.
