Albert Lewis Swink, II 

December 30, 1935 - December 28, 2023 

Albert Lewis Swink II was 87 when he left this earth to ascend into heaven. He passed away peacefully at The Hill’s Nursing and Rehabilitation in Decatur, TX Thursday afternoon, December 28, 2023.

Funeral Service will be 10 AM Tuesday, January 2, 2024 at Hawkins Funeral Home Decatur with burial 2 PM Wednesday, January 3, 2024 at LaurelLand in Dallas. 

Albert was born to Albert Lewis and Hazel Allison Swink on December 30, 1935 in Amarillo, TX. He attended all primary school education in Amarillo and graduated, class of ‘52, from Amarillo High. During this time he was an active member at 1st Assembly of God in Amarillo. After graduating high school he attended Texas A&M in College Station, TX.

Albert married Cordelia Ann (Ruddick) Swink on July 13, 1957. Together they had three children Albert Lewis (Skip) Swink III (1958-1978), Stephanie Swink Weitner, and Shannon Swink McDonald. He was an electrical engineer with Blum Consulting Engineering in Dallas, Texas for over 30 years. Albert and Cordelia were active members of Oak Cliff Assembly of God in Oak Cliff, Calvary Church in Irving, TX. and Living Word Assembly of God, Alvord, TX

Albert is survived by his two daughters, Stephanie and Shannon and their two son-in-laws Phillip Weitner and Dennis McDonald. Albert and Cordelia have 6 grandchildren and 12 great- grandchildren. Albert is preceded in death by his mother Hazel Allison Swink, father Albert Lewis Swink, and his two sisters, Dorothy Faye Swink Hunnicutt and Jonnie Lea Swink Weldert, brother Marvin Neal Swink, and son Albert (Skip) Swink.
