James Dudley (Romig) Barnett 

February 1, 1963 - July 27, 2023 

James D. (Romig) Barnett, 60 of West Deer Township, PA died peacefully July 27, 2023, at UPMC Passavant, with his family by his side. He was born February 1, 1963, in Pittsburgh. He and his family moved to Houston, TX where he grew up and graduated from Nimitz High School. While in high school, he competed on the school diving team. After high school, he attended Texas A&M University. Returning to the Pittsburgh area with his family, he went to work with his father in the construction industry, recently working for 5-Star Drywall, Pittsburgh. He worked in the construction field for over 44 years. Jim enjoyed being with his family, golfing, and competing and traveling on a dragon boating team in Pittsburgh.

Survivors include his parents John C. and Joyce A. (White) Romig, his siblings, Gary J. Romig of Columbus, GA, William J. (Michelle) Romig of Toledo, OH, Kimberly (Van) Crow of Colorado Springs, CO, Christine (Mike Hanratty) Shoop of Butler, and Tracy L. (Ralph Patrick) Romig of West Deer Township, nephews: Ryan Romig, Caleb (Kate) Romig, Brandon Romig, and Dalton (Mariah Jeffrey) Shoop, nieces: Amber (Larry) Romig, Idie (Will) Shoop, Courtney (Michael) Knowles, Peyton Romig, and Madison Bauer, along with many great nephews and nieces. Uncle: Donald (Michelle) Romig, Jr., Aunts: Lynne (Michael) Donnelly, Beth (Larry) Friedeman, Patricia (Donald) Romig, and Donna (Matt) Marley.
