Wylie Aaron Skelton, Jr., DVM 

July 13, 1946 - February 28, 2021 

Wylie Aaron Skelton, Jr., DVM, died on February 28, 2021, in Utopia, Texas at the age of 74. He was born on July 13, 1946, in Houston, Texas to Wylie Aaron Skelton and Helen Inez (Sorrels) Skelton.

He is survived by his wife, Patricia (“Patti”) Skelton of Rio Frio, Texas; children: Kelly Skelton and husband James Carter of Great Falls, Montana, Jordan Foster of Sweetwater, Texas, and Jeep Skelton of Utopia, Texas; sisters: Elizabeth Jo Hanley and husband Tom of St. Louis, Missouri, Gwendolyn (Skelton) Yarbrough of White House, Texas, and Rebecca (Skelton) Dansby and husband James Clifton (“Bo”) of Tyler, Texas; brother, Raymond Allen Skelton and wife Teresa of Magnolia, Texas; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews. In addition, he is survived by his special friend and helpmate, Letha Lucille Dulaney of Leakey and Utopia, Texas.

Wylie is predeceased by his parents, Wylie and Helen Skelton and a son, Wayne Skelton.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that a donation be made in Dr. Skelton’s memory to your local animal shelter or refuge, or animal-benefitting charity of your choice.

A memorial service for Dr. Skelton will be held on March 14, 2021 @ 3:00 p.m. at the Living Waters Church in Utopia, Texas.

Arrangements are under the personal care of Nelson Funeral Home of Leakey, Texas.
