Jose Fausto Molina, Sr.

August 15, 1942 - November 24, 2023

On 24 November, 2023, Jose Fausto Molina, Sr., 81, passed away peacefully at a local hospital in San Antonio, TX with his beloved family by his side.

Jose, the fourth of five children, was born on August 15, 1942, in Laredo, TX, to his loving parents, Francisco and Josefa Molina. After high school, he attended Texas A&M University before marrying his wife of 55 years, Lydia G. Molina. He worked in Houston, TX, in the chemical engineering industry for the majority of his career, succeeding as a chemist, a foreman, and a union representative. He retired to Refugio, TX in 2004, where he spent his time with his beloved wife, children, and grandchildren, watching football and listening to the Beatles.

Jose is survived by his wife, Lydia, his children, Martha (Juan) Diaz, Norma (Ed) Ybarra, and Jose (Kimberley) Molina Jr; his grandchildren Eddy Ybarra, Vanessa Ybarra, Avry Diaz, Kiren Diaz, Jordan Carroll, Emeshaw Molina and Brody Arredondo; his great-grandchildren, Grace Ybarra and Oakley Barton; and his sister, Sylvia A. Molina. He is reunited in eternity with his parents and siblings, Ina, Olga, Francisco and Alfonsito, and his daughter, Kristina.

He will always be remembered for his unwavering dedication to family, his passionate beliefs, his strength of character and his wisdom. Jose left a lasting impact on everyone he encountered – may his soul find eternal peace, and may his memory live on in the hearts of those who were fortunate enough to know him.
