Jerry Lynn Landrum 

October 23, 1936 - November 16, 2023 

Jerry Lynn Landrum, age 86, of Boyd, Texas passed away on Thursday, November 16, 2023. He was born October 23, 1936 in Nacogdoches, Texas to parents William Landrum and Essie (Neal) Landrum.

Mr. Landrum attended Stephen F. Austin State University and Texas A&M University. He received his Master’s Degree in Biochemistry and four Bachelor’s Degrees. He taught school at Thompson High School where he also coached basketball and football. He later became a successful insurance agent with State Farm for 33 years. There was nothing that Jerry could not do. He was truly brilliant!

He found the love of his life in 1960, Lois Jeanene “Nene” Landrum. They were married for 60 years before her passing in 2020.

In addition to his parents and wife, Mr. Landrum was preceded in death by his daughter Theresa Landrum Hartson.

He is survived by his children, James Landrum, Debbie Smith and husband Joey, Patricia Stevenson and family, Belinda Jones and family, and Chester Smith; grandchildren, Ryan Landrum, Chris Landers and wife Vicky, Heather Gibson and husband Danley, Brandon Hartson, and Jeremiah Smith and wife Josie; great-grandkids, Austin Hartson, Michelle Hartson, Kale Gibson, Ace Hartson, Trapper Smith, Jackson Browne, Witten Smith, Jamison Brown, and Kayzlie Smith; and a whole bunch of fur babies, who loved him very much!

A visitation will be held Wednesday, November 22, 2023 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at New Hope Pentecostal Church, Denning, Texas, followed by a funeral service at 2:00 PM. Interment will follow in New Hope Cemetery.
