William Bradley "Brad" DuPlantis
June 22, 1958 - June 26, 2025
William Bradley DuPlantis passed away peacefully in his sleep on June 26, 2025.
Brad was born June 22, 1958 and was 67 years old at the time of his passing. He was the first of three boys of parents Bill and Frances DuPlantis residing in Baytown, Texas. Brad was fortunate to be part of a loving family with numerous cousins, nephews and nieces of whom were a part of his life and always in his thoughts. Brad would often discuss fond memories of his childhood, referencing numerous family trips and activities in Baytown with other close family friends.
Brad graduated from Sterling High School in 1976. While at Sterling he was involved in the yearbook committee and active participation in the cross-country team. Texas A&M University was the next step for Brad, graduating in 4 years with a degree in management. He was an active member in the Corp of Cadets for one year, charter member of the Pike fraternity, and worked in a local clothing store (which became his passion). After graduating, Brad chased his dream of living the “life” in Vail, Colorado to ski every day and enjoy the mountains. He quickly learned it took three jobs to maintain, and skiing days were few and far between.
Returning to Texas, once again he followed his passion of the clothing industry, taking a job at Stanley Korshak. Korshak’s is considered the top clothing store in the southern US and Brad excelled with the clientele and store managers. Brad was top salesperson numerous years and was promoted to help clothing selections (buyer) in the markets of New York and Italy. Success at Korshak’s led Brad to opening his own store in Arlington, Texas - “William Bradleys.“ William Bradleys was open for four years until it made economic sense to return to Stanley Korshak’s for several years until relocation to Houston. Once in Houston, Brad continued following his dream of clothing (working at M Penner) and started his interior decorating business, which proved quite successful in the Houston and Baytown markets.
Brad chose it was best to relocate to Baytown in his mid-fifties to help with the care of his aging parents, Bill and Frances DuPlantis. As a young child and through his adult years Brad maintained a special relationship with his mother. They prayed for each other every day and looked forward to their day in eternity. Brad lived two lives, one that was blessed with family, passion for his work, and numerous friends and companions. The second life with addiction which he fought daily but never lost his passion for his family and faith. William Bradley was a Christian, good person and will be missed by all that knew him. His family will always keep him in their thoughts and prayers and remember the stories and good times they shared.
Visitation services will be held for Brad July 9th, 2025 at Crespo Funeral Home, Baytown Texas. Visitation will be from 2 to 4 pm, Friends and Family are welcome to attend and share stories of times with Brad.
