Matthew Joseph McGee
April 19, 1996 - May 27, 2025
It is with the heaviest of hearts that we share the passing of our beloved son, Matthew McGee, Texas A&M Class of 2018, born April 19, 1996, and gone too soon on May 27, 2025, at the age of 29.
Matthew was truly one of the kindest souls—gentle, thoughtful, and deeply loved. He faced challenges that were often invisible to the world, yet carried them with quiet strength and resilience. We are heartbroken by his loss, but we share his story in the hope that it brings light to others who may be walking a similar path. We pray that those facing mental health challenges will find hope, healing, and support. Matthew’s life touched many, and his memory will remain with us always.
Matthew was deeply loved—a very kind, thoughtful son, brother, grandson, nephew, cousin, and friend. He graduated from Richardson High School in 2014, attended Texas A&M University from 2014 to 2018, and earned his degree from the University of Texas at Dallas in 2021. He will be forever missed by his parents, Katrina and Michael McGee; his sister, Megan, and her husband, Juan Lechuga; his grandmothers, Sally Lenamon and Charlotte McGee; and many aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends who loved him dearly.
