Charles Edward Dyson II, age 54 of Houston, TX, passed away while enjoying a vacation in Michigan on Thursday, June 5th, 2025. He was born on April 18th, 1971, the beloved son of the late Judith Lynn Max and Charles Edward Dyson.

Chip, as he was affectionately known, approached life with a sharp intellect, strong work ethic, and a servant’s heart. He valued his family deeply, and cared for all who came into his life. His thoughtfulness, protective nature, and loyalty will be missed in the hearts of all that knew him. His greatest joy was spending time with the people that he loved. Whether it was fishing, sports, or traveling, he spent his free time with those he cherished. His memory will carry on forever, reminding us to care for those around us, and to love the Lord.

A devoted son, father, brother, uncle, and friend, Chip is lovingly remembered by his son, Mitchell Dyson; his three siblings, Courtney Hilton (Dan), Candace Lyons (Kevin), and Cyndi Amstutz (Steve); and his stepfather, Winton F. Starling (Susan). He also leaves many other friends and colleagues who will sadly miss him.

Chip proudly served his country as a corporal in the United States Marine Corps, a chapter of his life that shaped his enduring sense of discipline, honor, and commitment to others. After completing his military service, he graduated from Texas A&M University with a degree in Business Finance. He went on to build a successful career in information technology for over thirty years, holding leadership roles at companies including Accenture, Price Waterhouse Coopers, Transocean, and Coterra Energy. Known for his integrity and dedication, Chip was deeply respected in his field and made a lasting impact on colleagues and friends alike.

A celebration of Chip’s life will be held on Thursday, August 21st, 2025 at 11:00 a.m. in Robb Chapel at The Woodlands Methodist Church, located at 2200 Lake Woodlands Drive, The Woodlands, TX 77380. His family welcomes all who would like to attend, and will be livestreaming the event.

In honor of Chip’s memory, his family encourages all who knew and loved him to cherish the time we are given, and to hold close to the people who matter most. May we continue his legacy by caring for others well, and trusting in the Lord.
