Mark Shipp Moore 

July 17, 1950 - April 25, 2025 

Mark Moore, age 74 of Seguin, Texas passed away April 25, 2025. Mark was born July 17, 1950 to Lucile and Shipp Moore in Bay City, Texas. Mark met the love of his life in Genevieve Schwab, and they were married in 1980. In May of 1991 their son Kyle was born.

Mark was a 1968 graduate of Seguin High School, after high school he continued his education at Texas A&M University. After, Mark took over a family business of Zella’s Liquor Store, which he ran for 45 years. When not at the store he enjoyed spending time outdoors, whether it was riding his road bike in many races, hiking the Sierra Nevada mountains with his friend Denver, or hunting with friends at the family ranch in Dilley; including the bi annual trip with childhood friends and many other guests that got added through the years. Mark also enjoyed working on the farm, taking his battle with mesquite trees very seriously, he also loved his time out around the cows.

Mark loved to travel, fueled by him attending 8 different school districts following his father around as he worked for Exxon-Mobil as a Geophysicist. Mark traveled to the pyramids in Egypt, Machu Pichu, Europe, went scuba diving at the Galapagos Islands, and many more adventures. Mark loved to tell stories of his travels and gave us all an opportunity to learn about the world through his eyes.

Mark is preceded in death by his loving wife of 39 years, Genevieve Moore, his mother, Lucile Moore, father, Shipp Moore, mother-in-law; Lulu Mae Schwab, father-in-law, Vernon Schwab, and brothers-in-law, Joe Mueller and Dudley Schwab.

Survivors include his son, Kyle Moore (wife Krystin); granddaughter, Genevieve Rose Moore; sister, Margaret Mueller; brother-in-law, Robert Schwab; sisters-in-law, Janice Schwab-Mann and Tina Schwab; nephew, Paul Mueller (wife Karen); niece, Donna Hall (husband Syd); numerous other nieces and nephews, other loving family members and a host of friends.

A Celebration of Life will be held for Mark on Saturday, June 21, 2025 at the New Berlin Community Center, 8815 FM 775, New Berlin, Texas, from 2 to 6 p.m.

In lieu of flowers the family requests that donations be directed to Parkinson’s Foundation or Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson’s Research.
