Alcee-Randall John "Randy" Juge
January 26, 1944 - February 20, 2025
Alcee-Randall John Juge (Randy) passed peacefully in his sleep on February 20, 2025, at the age of 81. He was born on January 26, 1944, in New Orleans, Louisiana, the son of the late Frank E. Juge and the late Florence Sigg Juge.
Randy was a courageous patriot and loving husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather and brother. He graduated from East Jefferson High School in 1963. As a high school athlete, he was all-state football, basketball and track. He attended Texas A&M University, where he was a member of the Fencing, Track & Field, and Football team. He proudly served in the U.S. Army and, after graduation from flight school, became a helicopter pilot with the 25th Infantry Division Aviation Battalion. During his tour in Vietnam, he earned numerous awards and air medals, including a Purple Heart when his aircraft was under fire and a bullet grazed his forehead. After his service, he obtained a bachelor's degree from LSU and then went on to become a State Farm Insurance agent serving for almost 50 years. He had many interests and hobbies and truly adored his family. Randy touched the lives of many and will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
Randy is predeceased by his beloved wife Anzia Keith Juge. He is survived by his children, Allison Anjier (John), Clint Juge (Julia), Wendy Rush (Sean); his grandchildren, Christopher, Clayton (Brittany), & Ella Blossman; Randy & Jeb Juge; Jeremiah & Kaitlyn Rush; his great granddaughter, Emma Blossman; his brothers Frank Juge (Etta Jean) and Denis Juge (Joel); his sister, Suzy Sale (Herb); and a large number of cousins, nephews and nieces.
The interment at Pinecrest Memorial Cemetery (Covington) will take place on May 9, 2025 at 11:00 a.m. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in Randy's memory to your favorite veteran's assistance organization.
