Carlton Dean Floyd 

August 15, 1964 - March 29, 2025 

The family of Carlton Dean Floyd is greatly saddened to announce his passing March 29, 2025, at the age of 60 years. Carlton was born in Nashville, Tennessee on August 15, 1964 to Virgil and Doris Floyd.

Carlton graduated from Lamar High School in 1983. He attended Texas A&M University for two years. His true aspiration was to start his own business and for several years, Carlton built and maintained swimming pools. As time went on, he transitioned into the tree trimming business, managing and operating Majestic Tree Service for many years until the time of his death.

Carlton was preceded in death by his parents, Virgil and Doris Floyd. He is survived by his brother, Michael Keith Floyd and wife Alicia Patricia (Lopez Guerra) of Austin, and his sister, Kimberly Gail (Floyd) Gilcrease and husband Christopher Lee Gilcrease of Katy. He is also survived by four nieces, a nephew, and many other family members and friends. Above all, he is survived by the promise of being set free from the bondage of this life through the redemption in Christ that he put his faith in.

A service of remembrance will be held on Saturday, April 5, at 2:00 PM at Calvary Baptist Church. Burial will follow at Davis Greenlawn Cemetery, Rosenberg, TX.
