Ashley Anne Kane
December 9, 1981 - April 17, 2025
It is with deep sorrow and heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our beautiful daughter Ashley, who left us on April 17, 2025, to take her place in Heaven. Ashley was cherished by her family and friends, whose spirit touched the lives of everyone she met.
Born on December 9th, 1981, in Houston, Texas, Ashley was the beloved daughter of Melissa and Michael Kane, sister to Julianna, aunt to Isabella, and mom to her special dog Lil Bit. She grew up surrounded by love and support, nurturing a curious and adventurous spirit that would define her life. Ashley graduated from Kingwood High School and Texas A&M University where she earned her B.S. degree in Biology.
From age 5 through high school, she was involved in the YMCA Indian Princess program with her dad. Her favorite campouts were to New Braunfels for river rafting and Enchanted Rock for hiking, bouldering and rappelling.
She loved spending time with her grandmother “Memaw”, attending Pine Cove Christian camp in East Texas and then worked as a guidance counselor there as a teenager.
Ashley was the mascot “Milo” for 3 years at Kingwood High School. After graduating from Texas A&M, Ashley held various positions in hospitals and doctor’s offices but found her passion tutoring high school and college students in science and mathematics. Ashley was deeply involved in the community, volunteering her time in the National Charity League in High School, and received the Silver Service Award as a senior for the most hours volunteered. She was also a member of the service fraternity APO in college, delivering meals and spending time taking elderly residents to doctors’ appointments.
In her leisure time, Ashley loved to read and spend time outdoors. Camping, river rafting and snow skiing were her favorite hobbies.
Visitation will be on Friday, April 25th, 2025 from 5 pm to 7 pm and her memorial service will be held at 2:00 pm on April 26th, 2025 at Rosewood Funeral Home Atascocita to honor Ashley's life. Friends and family are invited to attend and share their memories and stories. Though Ashley is no longer with us in physical form, her spirit will live on in the hearts of those she touched.
Rest in peace, dear Ashley. You will be deeply missed and will always be in our hearts and memories.
