Wesley William Hicks 

November 14, 1938 - April 16, 2025 

Wesley William Hicks, 86, of Baytown, Texas passed away on April 16, 2025. Wesley was born on November 14, 1938, in Baytown to Ben Hicks and Pearl Dean Ward. Wesley was a 1957 graduate of Robert E. Lee High School and graduated in 1986 from Texas A&M University. Wesley was an avid Texas A&M fan and held “Aggie” football season tickets for many years. He enjoyed anything related to Texas A&M. He worked as an Instrument Engineer and retired from Bayer Chemical. He also taught instrumentation at Lee College for years. Wesley was a natural teacher. He inspired and mentored countless young adults in both education and life.

After retirement, Wesley was an avid teacher of the Gospel of Christ. He taught many classes and bible study groups spreading the word of God. He hoped that all would have the eternal security that he had. He was a prayer warrior and prayed constantly for his friends and family. Wesley never met a stranger and constantly witnessed by handing out his Psalm 23 cards.

Wesley is preceded in death by his parents and his wife of thirty-seven years Sandy Hicks. He is survived by his wife, Mary Ann Hicks; his children, Wade Hicks and wife Lorraine, Marchelle Conway and husband John, Darron Hicks and wife Annette, Dallas Hicks and wife Sandy; stepchildren, Deeana Bartholow and husband Ralph, Vince Eilers and wife Vicki, Mary Eilers, Aaron Eilers, Rene VanWare, Bill Donath and wife Angie, Melanie Plake and husband Larry; and a multitude of grandkids and great grandkids.
