Charles Weldon Yantis 

September 22, 1924 - November 13, 2008 

Charles Weldon Yantis, 84, of Fayetteville, AR died Thursday, November 13, 2008 at his residence. He was born in Rotan, Texas to the late James Oscar and Minnie Gertrude (Robertson) Yantis.

Dr. Yantis was a U.S. Army Veteran of WWII and Korea, received his Bachelor and Master degrees from Texas A&M University, and was a former Professor of Civil Engineering at the University of Arkansas.

Survivors include his daughters Laura Rey and husband, David Endicott of Toronto, Canada and Bonnie Charles Yantis of Morgan Hill, California; brother, Ray James Yantis and wife, Pat of Granbury, Texas; niece, Diane Keene of Fort Worth, Texas and soon to be born granddaughter, Rachel Clare Endicott-Rey. Funeral services will be private.
