Bryan Patrick Coleman
March 25, 1964 - March 24, 2025
Bryan Patrick Coleman of Burleson, Texas passed away March 24, 2025. He is survived by his wife of 30 years, Dori Coleman, brother Michael Coleman and wife Angela, nephews, Alec Coleman and Zachary Coleman, nieces Hali Shepard and husband Chris and Emily Fennell Miller and husband Wade. He was preceded in death by his mother Minnie, father Elmo, sister Judy Fennel and brother Tommy Shepard. Born on March 25th, 1964, Bryan was proud to share the same birthday as his Father Elmo Coleman.
Bryan grew up in his hometown of Burleson, Texas. He was the youngest of four children. Growing up on a farm he worked alongside his father and brothers learning the trade of raising chickens to raising and showing cattle, and along with his brother Michael and good friend David Webb made extra money hauling hay during the summer months. He always had a big appetite and remembered fondly the great home cooked meals prepared by his mom at the end of the day.
Bryan attended Texas A&M University in College Station, TX where he was a walk-on to the football team in 1982, competed on the meat judging team, and earned a BS degree in Animal Science Class of '86.
Bryan valued his family, which included his beloved cats and had a broad range of talents. He loved sports and was a gifted athlete playing competitively from an early age, baseball, football, and tennis and enjoying water skiing, snow skiing, fishing, and golf throughout his life. Taking after his older brother Tommy, he learned to play multiple instruments by ear and could pick up the guitar and play songs while singing along.
Bryan’s work career began in the hospitality industry and spanned over many years in the telecom industry. Early in his career he relocated to Corpus Christi, TX where he met the love of his life, his wife Dori. He often recalled the fun times they had living near the ocean. Bryan was a charismatic salesperson, and one of his proudest professional achievements was securing a large master services agreement with Perot Systems while working for Qwest. Bryan was intelligent and well-read. He loved to share his experiences and knowledge, especially that gained via the school of hard knocks. He never met a stranger, and he will always be remembered for his irreverent sense of humor; making people laugh was his strength.
