Don Allen Norton 

January 6, 1931 - March 19, 2025 

Don Allen Norton passed away peacefully in his home on March 19, 2025, at the age of 94. Don was a devoted and loving husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather and brother. He was born on January 6, 1931, in Dallas, Texas to Edwin Kiest Norton Sr. and Mildred Luciese (Burton) Norton.

Don lived a full life as a son, husband, father, grandfather, brother, rancher, and real estate broker. He was a graduate of Texas A&M University, Class of 1951. He was a member of the Corp of Cadets and after graduation joined the United States Air Force. He was Honorably Discharged on June 3, 1961.

He married Sarah Norton on her grandmother’s ranch “Gallagher Ranch” in Helotes, Texas on June 10, 1961.

Don was a hardworking rancher and passed his work ethic on to his daughters and grandchildren. He owned and managed the Diamond N Cattle Company and raised registered brangus cattle for many years before retiring and becoming a Real Estate Broker.

He is survived by his daughters Robin Mankins and her husband Craig and Sarita Cooper and her husband Randall. Don known as “Daddy Don” to his grandchildren Rachel Arnold and husband Evan, Ryan Rule and fiancé Macy, Tanner Rule and finance Madison, and Laney Fowler. Great grandchildren, Leven Allen and Oakley Marie Arnold and Sister, Prissy Fischer and her husband Joe.

He is preceded in death by his beloved wife, Sarah Norton, his parents and two brothers.

A graveside service to celebrate his life will be held at Blue Ridge Cemetery at 2:00 pm on Friday, April 18, 2025.
