Michael Edward "Mike" Hagan passed away April 24, 2025 leaving behind a legacy of love, adventure, and a life well-lived. Born in Natchez, Mississippi, Mike was the son of Edward (Ed) Emmett Hagan and Virginia (Ginny) Carol Friend Hagan. Raised around the world, most notably in Perth, Australia, and Maracaibo, Venezuela, Mike and his family shared unforgettable experiences across six continents.
A true global citizen, Mike's educational journey took him from Choate Rosemary Hall in Connecticut to Texas A&M University and ultimately, Loyola Marymount Law School in Los Angeles. His early career brought him to Texas, where he used his fluency in Spanish for cross-border projects in Mexico. He later worked in politics in Oklahoma and practiced law in Los Angeles, Dallas, and Aiken, South Carolina.
In 2001, Mike began a new chapter at FedEx, where he held roles in both Hong Kong and Memphis. Like his father before him, he took pride in being a dedicated company man and found purpose in his work and colleagues.
A lifelong traveler, Mike enjoyed singing, public speaking, and was proud of his Aggie roots, as well as his love for golf, good food, and drink. He was known for his sharp wit, positive spirit, and generous heart.
Mike was a devoted husband and father, and he will be deeply missed by all who knew him. He was preceded in death by his loving parents and his sister, Margaret (Peggy) Wiseman. Mike is survived by his wife, Katherine (Kate) Hagan of Sarasota, FL; his sister, Catherine (Cathy) Ramage of Denton, TX; his children, Halle Hagan of New York, NY; Abbey Hagan of Dallas, TX; Morgan and Christopher (Chris) Ricci of Pittsburgh, PA; and Jennifer (Jenni) and Wesley (Wes) Ezzell of Birmingham, AL; as well as his grandchildren, Sofia Ricci of Pittsburgh, PA; and Clark and Oscar Ezzell of Birmingham, AL.
