May 5, 1974 - April 14, 2025
Jeffrey Ruskin Beheler, 50, of Sugar Land, Texas, passed away on April 14, 2025. Jeff was born on May 5, 1974, in Fort Worth, Texas, and spent his childhood years in Paris, Texas, where he formed lifelong friendships. He graduated from North Lamar High School in Paris, Texas, then continued his education at Texas A&M University to study Horticulture.
Jeff is survived by his mother, Kathy Picklesimer, and husband, Harold; father, Rus Beheler; Lauren Beheler, mother of his three children, Reese (21), Blake (18), and Claire (15); his sisters, Jennifer Mendez and Brandi Andersen, as well as many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and extended family members and friends who will miss him dearly.
Jeff loved his children dearly and spent many years coaching their youth sports teams. Jeff was a well-respected and active member of the local baseball community. For years he devoted countless hours to coaching, mentoring, and encouraging young athletes, including his own. Whether on the field or in the dugout, Jeff led with patience, wisdom, humor, and a deep love for the game. When Jeff was not coaching or watching his kid’s activities, he enjoyed fishing, hunting, and cheering for the Texas Aggies.
Jeff loved the outdoors and was gifted in landscape design and installation. He had the privilege of using his horticultural knowledge daily for the past 22 years as owner of Texan Landscapers. Jeff not only loved the art of his work and the beauty he brought to outdoor spaces, but he also enjoyed and appreciated the lifelong relationships he built with his clients and employees over the years.
Jeff will be remembered for his kind heart, his contagious smile, his devotion to his children, and the many lives he touched as a father, son, coach, and friend.
A celebration of life service will be held on Wednesday, April 23rd, 2025, at 11:00am at River Pointe Church, Richmond, TX. Burial will follow at 2:00pm at Forest Park Westheimer Cemetery, Houston, Texas.
