Danny Wayne McDonald 

July 15, 1943 - February 19, 2025 

Danny Wayne McDonald, 81, died Wednesday, February 19th, 2025 at Robert J. Dole VA Hospice Unit in Wichita, KS. He was born July 15th, 1943 to Clarence and Edna (Greer) McDonald in Neodesha, KS. He graduated from Newton High School in 1961, and Danny served in the United States Air Force from 1961 to 1965. He later received degrees from both Texas A&M University and Kansas State University.

Danny worked for the US Department of the Interior, Soil Conservation Service where he served as the assistant director of the Manhattan, KS Plant Materials Center. He later worked as the IT director at the President's College in Wichita, KS. He loved the outdoors and traveling. This was highlighted by a recent trip to India.

He was preceded in death by his parents, sister Darlene Caine, and brothers Jack and William McDonald. Danny is survived by his three daughters, Meghan, Morgan, and Moira, his brother David McDonald, and several nephews and nieces. He will be interred at the Greenwood Cemetery in Newton, KS at a date to be determined.
