James Marshall "Jaime" Hough, Jr. 

July 18, 1961 - February 3, 2025 

James Marshall Hough, affectionately known as Jaime, was a light in this world that will be deeply missed. Born on July 18, 1961 in Houston, Texas, Jaime lived a life deeply rooted in empathy, generosity, compassion, and love. He was a beacon of hope for those in need, a testament to the power of kindness, even in the face of adversity. His journey may have been challenging, but Jaime treaded it with an unwavering spirit, always putting others before himself.

Jaime was a proud alumnus of Texas A&M University, a fact he wore like a badge of honor. Though not officially employed, he found his calling in providing support to the homeless community of Austin, Texas, where he resided. Jaime was never one to shy away from hard work, especially when it meant bringing a smile to the faces of those he served. He found immense joy in playing Santa for the children and the needy during the holidays, his generosity shining brighter than any Christmas light. His love for live music was infectious, often drawing friends and strangers alike into impromptu jam sessions that would last well into the night. As the poet Maya Angelou once said, "People will forget what you said, people will forget what you did, but people will never forget how you made them feel." And Jaime made everyone feel loved.

Jaime is survived by his mother, Iva Hough, and his siblings Michelle Mitchell, Jeffrey Hough, Joseph Hough, and Joycelyn Forkin. He is preceded in death by his father, James Hough, and his brother, Jason Hough. Jaime's legacy of love, compassion, and generosity will forever live on in their hearts and in the hearts of all who had the privilege of knowing him.
