Donald Lee "Don" Maple 

August 3, 1938- January 13, 2025 

Donald “Don” Lee Maple, 86, of New Martinsville, WV left this world on Monday, January 13, 2025 while at his home and surrounded by his loving family.

Don was born August 3, 1938, in Alluwe, OK, son of the late Henry and Edna D. (Mauk) Maple.

He was a retired Chemical Engineer for PPG, a U.S. Navy veteran, graduate of Pampa Texas High School class of 1956, graduate of Texas Tech where he earned a Bachelor’s degree, graduate from Texas A & M University where he earned his Master’s degree, enjoyed playing golf and completing his “Honey Do” list before his wife passed. He absolutely loved spending time with his family.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Evelyn Maple (2020); sister, Nina Dawes and brother, Jim Maple.

Surviving are his three children, Nancy Terry of Fort Worth, TX, Susan (Marc) Allen of Baltimore, MD and Robert Maple of New Martinsville, WV; six grandchildren, Megan (Mulder) Van Den Bergh, Emily (Alex) Mihou, Whitney (Robert) Ballard, Christy Terry, Abbie Terry and Joey Allen; two great grandchildren and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Private services will be held at the convenience of the family.
