William Charles "Charlie" Gullett, Jr. 

April 1, 1935 - June 14, 2024 

The family of William Charles “Charlie” Gullett is sad to announce that he passed away at age 89 on June 14, 2024.

Charlie was a native Texan who grew up as an oil patch kid, living in small towns all across the state as his father worked on different drilling jobs. While he was attending Texas A&M University, he was set up on a blind date with a young woman named Joyce Dedear. They fell in love and were married in 1956.

Throughout their 67 years together, Charlie was a loving and devoted husband to Joyce, and was a kind and caring father to their two daughters, Susan and Sharon. He enjoyed traveling with his family and was very proud to have visited all 50 states as well as numerous countries in Europe and Africa.

Charlie is survived by his wife Joyce and leaves behind his children Susan (Mike) Golden and Sharon (Russell) Parry along with grandchildren Brad (Mindy) Golden, Mitch Parry, and Allie Parry, and one great-grandson Everett Golden.

The family has elected to hold a private service. Should family or friends desire, memorial contributions may be made to Alzheimer’s disease research.
