Dannie T. Waddle, Col., USAF (Ret) 

January 14, 1931 - February 26, 2024 

Dannie "Dan" T. Waddle of Austin, Texas passed away on Monday, February 26, 2024 at the age of 93. He was born on January 14, 1931 in Dallas, Texas, where he grew up with his beloved sister, Ava Jane Waddle.

Dan attended Texas A&M University and graduated from SMU in 1952 with a BA Degree. After college graduation, he was commissioned into the US Air Force, where he flew several Jet Fighters over his thirty-year career and retired as a Full Colonel. 

He is preceded in death by his parents, Mary Pearl and Thad Waddle.

He is survived by his wife, Phyllis Francis Waddle; children, Scott D. Waddle and Michelle Waddle Bunch; four adult grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

The family would like to thank Kathy Cody, Westminster Nurse Practitioner, and Dr. Michael Pelligrini for the care and compassion they showed Dan in his final days.

Family and friends are invited to attend a Celebration of Life to be held in the near future at Tarrytown United Methodist Church in Austin, Texas. Dan’s ashes will be spread at the High Meadow on Mt. Crested Butte, Colorado and in Dallas, Texas.
