Charles Patrick McGraw 

February 17, 1942 - April 6, 2024 

Patrick McGraw was born to Jack Frost and Thomas Garnet McGraw on February 17, 1942 in Sherman, Texas. He died on April 6, 2024 at Baptist East Hospital in Louisville, Kentucky.

He is survived by his children Monique McGraw (spouse Beth Niblock), Tara Knorpp, Vara Dyer (spouse Mark Dyer), Ryan McGraw, Stephanie Adams, Katlyn McGraw, Charlie McGraw, and Elliott McGraw, ten grandchildren, three step grandchildren, and two great grandchildren. Patrick’s siblings predeceased him, Garnet McGraw, Dee Beaver, Frank McGraw, and Tim McGraw.

Patrick was a graduate of Belmont Abby College, Texas A&M University, and the University of Texas. His career as a professor of medicine began at Wake Forest University. He retired after thirty years (1980-2010) at the University of Louisville.

Patrick remained active after retirement with his passions being his children, grandchildren, his farm, and his faith.

A visitation for Patrick will be held Friday, April 12, 2024 from 3:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Arch L. Heady & Son at Westport Village, 7410 Westport Road, Louisville, KY 40222. A Mass of Christian burial will occur Saturday, April 13, 2024 at 9:00 AM at St. Michael Catholic Church, 3705 Stone Lakes Drive, Louisville, KY 40299.
