Cheryl L. (Webb) McGinty 

September 21, 1958 - March 15, 2024 

Cheryl L. Webb McGinty was born September 21, 1958 in Hearne, Texas to James H. Webb, III and Georgia Faye Dupree Webb. Both parents preceded her in death. Cheryl departed this earthly home to her heavenly home on Friday, March 15, 2024 in Arlington, Texas.  

Cheryl had a heart of gold and loved being a caregiver to anyone in need. She was a wonderful mother, sister and friend who was always there whenever we needed her. Cheryl joined church at an early age and grew up playing the piano and organ for Progressive Missionary Baptist Church in Cameron, Texas. 

Cheryl was a 1977 graduate of Hearne High School in Hearne, Texas. She attended the University of Texas at Arlington and then transferred to Texas A&M University in College Station, Texas where she became a die-hard Aggie (Gig 'em Aggies). She graduated from Texas A&M with a Bachelor of Science degree in social sciences. She worked in multiple industries using her degree in social sciences, helping others, both children and the aged alike. She loved helping and caring for others and did so until her health no longer allowed her to. 

Cheryl is survived by her daughter, Jeorgia' B. Brown (Trent); sister, Deborah J. Blake (Melvin); brothers, Iley J. Webb, Hakimkhalfani Webb, Clarence A. Webb (Rosie); three grandchildren, Tori, Jordyn and Jaxon Brown; and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews. She also leaves to mourn her passing, many close friends whom she cherished and kept in touch with frequently.
