Melissa Michelle (Vinez) Monk 

November 11, 1984 - February 10, 2024 

Melissa Michelle Monk, age 39, of Carrollton Texas, died in Plano on February 10, 2024.

She was born in Arlington, Texas on November 11, 1984 to Mike and Michael Vinez. She attended Trinity High School before graduating from Texas A&M University in 2007. She began her career in human resources in Houston, Texas where she lived for 10 years with her husband Matthew before they relocated to Dallas in January of 2020. She was preceded in death by her mother, Michael, and is survived by her beloved husband of 14 years Matthew, her father Mike Vinez, sister Meredith Vinez, grandparents, numerous aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.

She will always be remembered for her love of art, cooking, travel and being a doting aunt. She also shared a passion for dogs with her husband, as they supported various charities such as Operation Kindness in Carrollton. Remembrances can be made through donations to her two favorite charities, Operation Kindness and the Food Bank.

A memorial service will be held at Good Shepherd Holy Catholic Church, at 10:00am on February 23, 2024.

She was beloved by her family and friends and will truly be missed by all.
